Flashback to 2008. Graduating college, Anthro Employee Discounts (you get the idea) THE GOOD OL' DAYS. Enter Goldfrapp's Fourth Studio Album Release Seventh Tree. Bliss. Why? Well, not only has Goldfrapp (Ms. Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory ---- thank you very much) been described as a "sensual, glittered electro hippie-chic duo" but the actual album itself is well, bitchin. Hello Arts & Crafts Day! Hello poster fold-outs and circle cut-outs and stickers and mini pinwheels! Hello a handful of awesome photographs, album artwork, DVD! How YOU doin? Feb 22 just became my favorite day.
This story is Two-Fold. When I lived in Spain (that will never get old) I had a friend who admired Goldfrapp even more than plain old me. And it brings me great joy to post this knowing every time I read it (and re-read it and read it again) I will think of him. Peachy! And although I may not own all the Goldfrapp songs or albums or T-Shirts or clown suits, I did a subtle tribute to myself and my friend (and Spain) today in my room, by myself. I listened to every Seventh Tree song and even managed to find a seven minute Borrato Remix of "A&E". Appropriate. Bliss Round 2? You bet your sweet ass. Zing!
